You may recognize Murphy from a few weeks back. He is part of dachshund haus rescue and his foster mom has been bringing him in for chiropractic care. He was lacking in muscle tone and had been paralyzed in his back end for over one year. Honestly, we weren’t sure we’d ever see Murphy take consistent steps because it seemed long term nerve damage was present. Murphy apparently wasn’t concerned. In one month Murphy began walking regularly, he’s wagging his tail, and it seems he’s starting to recognize when he needs to potty. Thanks to a change in his diet Murphy has also begun putting on weight, muscle tone, and his hair is growing in. The strides this pup have made are amazing, literally and figuratively. We know he has a ways to go, but it brings tears to our eyes knowing he’s even come this far. We are hoping we can get him even closer to normal to help him find his furever home.
